USB Gecko Ripper 1.1 betaリリース〜USB Geckoでリッピング

USB Geckoのサイトで、Wiiドライブを使用してディスクを吸い出しできるUSB Gecko Ripper 1.1 betaをリリースしていました。今回はサイトに紹介が無いのでダウンロードしたアーカイブの中に入っていたreadmeの翻訳です。【情報源:USB gecko】

Important: Make sure USB Gecko is inserted in Slot B memory card slot and is connected before following the instructions below.
重要：USB Geckoは必ずスロットBのメモリーカードスロットに差してください。下記の使用方法を良く読んでからUSB Geckoを接続してください。

1. Burn the geckorip2.iso file for your region of console, which is the ‘wii_REGION’ folder of the archive with imgburn (http://www.imgburn.com) or clonecd. 4x or 8x speed speed on verbatim DVD-R seem to be best for compatibility.
お使いのWiiのリージョンに合わせて’wii_REGION’フォルダを開いて、フォルダの中にあるgeckorip2.isoをDVDに焼きます。
2. Load the DVD on the Wii, it will detect as a Gamecube DVD. Once the DVD has loaded it will prompt for command from PC.
WiiでそのDVDを読み込みます。ゲームキューブ用DVDとして認識されるはずです。一度DVDを読み込めばPCのコマンドプロンプトが立ち上がります。
3. Open the PC application called geckoextract.exe which is also attached in the archive.
ダウンロードした中に入っているgeckoextract.exeというPCアプリケーションを開きます。
4. Click the extract button, the game will now rip. A progress bar will show you the status of the progress on the geckoextract.exe program.
extractボタンをクリックするとゲームを吸い出せます。プログレスバーはgeckoextract.exeプログラムの進行状況の表示です。

The ripper is far more stable than before, but is only reading 10 sectors at a time now 10 x 2048 bytes packets which seems to be the limit the wii drive reads before doing any buffering. Rip speeds will be slower because of this.
リッピングは以前よりも遥かに安定していますが、バッファリング前のドライブ限界読み取り速度であろう10 x 2048バイトのパケットを一度に10セクターしか読み込みません。リッピング速度はそのためにより遅くなります。
PC app is now coded in c# to add better vista and 64bit support, the latest vista and 64 bit drivers can be found here

The ISO image is set to USA region, so make sure modchip is set to allow region free if you have a PAL or Jap console. This is default on most chips.
ISOイメージはUSAリージョンになっています。WiiがPAL版や日本版の場合はMODチップを使ってリージョンフリーにしてください。ほとんどのMODチップでは標準でリージョンフリーになっています。
