Nintendo Kills Wii Softmods?
任天堂がSoftMod対策？

Several users have reported purchasing new Wii consoles that will not allow any of the current Wii softmod packages to be installed. WiiNewz has confirmed with a member of Team Twiizers thatthese consoles contain a new version of boot1 (as mentioned in the HackMii blog post HERE) andwill not work via soft modding. There is no “fix” forthcoming.
複数のユーザーの方から最近購入したWiiでSoftModがインストールできないと報告をいただきました。WiiNewzではTwiizersチームのメンバーに確認したところ、そういったWiiは新型boot1(HackMiiのブログのまもすけ翻訳参照)搭載であるため、SoftModが機能しないようです。対応策は今のところありません。

At the time the HackMii article was written, it was speculated that only 10% of current Wii stock contained the new boot1. More systems are now showing up. It would appear that Nintendo is now working to completely block softmods. This will not have any effect of soldered or solderless modchips or the majority of homebrew… yet.
HackMiiの記事が書かれたおよそ3週間前の段階では販売中のWiiのうちおよそ1割が新型boot1搭載と言われていました。今はさらに増えているようです。任天堂がSoftMod対策をして来た事は明らかです。とはいうもののハンダ付けの有無に関わらずModチップであれば全く影響がなく、Homebrew起動も現在のところは問題ないようです。

BootMiiだけでなくSoftModもダメですか。
Homebrewに影響が無いのは幸いですが、そこまで対策されてしまうとせっかくの楽しみがなくなってしまいます。未だにHomebrew起動は対策されていないところを見ると(トワプリセーブデータは削除されちゃいますが)ローダーは対策が出来ないという楽観的な見方をしたくなります。そうであればHomebrewだけは安泰なんですけどね。

WiiND v1.0

This app dumps the NAND to USB and SD.
If a USB device is plugged in it will attempt to dump to said USB device.
If no USB device is inserted it will attempt to dump to the SD card
このアプリはNANDメモリーをダンプしてUSBやSDスロットに吐き出せます。USBデバイスを差せばそのUSBデバイスにダンプされます。USBに何も差さなければSDカードにダンプします。

To extract the dump you need your NAND AES KEY, you can get that by using Xyzzy. If you have ran xyzzy, it will have created a file named “keys.txt” in the root of your SD card. Open it and look for the NAND AES KEY. Now, make a folder called “keys” in C:\ and open your favorite hex editor. Copy the NAND AES KEY from “keys.txt” into your hex editor and save the file as “nand-key.bin” in the keys folder.
Now just run “Extract.exe” and select the “nand-dump.img” file. It will copy the NAND dump file to the directory where Extract.exe is and extract it.
ダンプしたものを解凍するためにはNAND AES KEYが必要になります。NAND AES KEYを入手するためにXyzzyを使用します。Xyzzyを起動すると”key.txt”という名前のファイルがSDカードのルートに作成されます。ファイルを開いてNAND AES KEYを探してください。まず、”keys”という名前のフォルダをドライブのC:に作成し、お好みのバイナリエディタを用意してください。”keys.txt” からNAND AES KEYをバイナリエディタ上でコピーし、”nand-key.bin”という名称で保存をして先ほど作成した”keys”フォルダに入れてください。
あとは”nand-dump.img”を指定して”Extract.exe”を起動するだけです。NANDをダンプファイルはExtract.exeがあるディレクトリに解凍されます。

Waninkoko氏のNAND dumperとの一番の違いはどこにダンプするかどうかみたいです。
ソース元のWiiBREWには

との記載があります。

やはり簡単に扱えるUSBポートやSDカードスロットが使える利点は大きいです。

New Custom IOS’: enables USB 2.0 on the Wii!

KWiirk has released a cIOS which enables USB 2.0 support for Wii homebrew!
KWiirk氏はWiiのHomebrewでUSB2.0をサポートするcIOSをリリースしました。

Installed as IOS202 on the wii, apps will also need to be recompiled to run off it and use it’s features.
WiiにIOS202としてインストールされます。アプリケーションでその機能を有効にするには再コンパイルが必要です。

It is still in early stages, having some speed restrictions and compatability issues, but it remains an exciting breakthrough in Wii homebrew/hacking scene.
まだ開発初期段階ですので速度に制限があり互換性にも問題が残っていますが、WiiのHomebrewやハッキング界にとっては過去の常識を打ち破ることになるでしょう。

Homebrew開発者向けのアプリなのでユーザーとしていろいろ試すことは出来ませんが、速度が早くなることで悪くなる事はひとつもありませんから今後の発展が楽しみです。
