Wii DVD Info V1.0リリース〜分解しなくてもドライブチップが分かる！？

Tehskeenで、WiiのDVDドライブの情報を表示するWii DVD Info V1.0のリリースが伝えられていました。本家Waninkoko氏のところはスペイン語なので潔く英語表記のTehskeenでごめんなさい。【記事】

Wii DVD Info V1.0 Released

Waninkoko has released a new homebrew application that will give you detailed output about your Nintendo Wii’s DVD-ROM drive which he wishes users post in a forum thread.
Waninkoko氏は任天堂WiiのDVD-ROMドライブの詳細情報を出力する新しいHomebrewアプリケーションをリリースしました。その情報をフォーラムに投稿して欲しいようです。

Remember that post you need to know in advance that the controller takes the DVD drive of your Wii (DMS, D2B, D2C …). If such data, information obtained with the application is useless.
WiiのDVDドライブコントローラーが何か(DMS, D2B, D2C …)をお知らせください。データが表示される以外使い道がありません。

ダウンロード後解凍するとDVD-Info_v1.dolが出てきます。
SDカードのappフォルダにDVD-Info_v1とか適当な名前のフォルダを作成し、DVD-Info_v1.dolをboot.dolにファイル名を変更してapp/DVD-Info_v1に入れてHomebrew Channelから起動します。

フォーラムには、次のように表示されると書いてありました。

– Level code: 0000
– Device code: 0002
– Release date: 20060526
– Drive chip: D2B

ユーザーの投稿を見ていると、Drive chip項目がないものがあります。
Waninkoko氏によると、表示されないのはMODチップ搭載してるせいだそうです。

これを使えば、Wiiを分解しなくてもドライブチップを特定できるかな？

Homebrew Browser v0.3 Preview版登場

HBB v0.3 Preview

In case you’re wondering how HBB v0.3 is progressing and you haven’t checked out the HBB Revisions yet, you can have a look at this Youtube video.
HBB v0.3がどの程度開発が進んでいるのか興味津々で、HBBの今までの改訂バージョンを見た事がないなら、いちどこちらのYoutubeのビデオをご覧下さい。

HBB Revisionsに、HBB v0.3のRev.1からRev.5までダウンロードできる状態でおいてありました。
日付を見ると、現行バージョンv0.2.5bをリリースしたときにはすでにv0.3のRev.1は開発済みだった事が分かります。しかもhttp://dev.codemii.com/ではバグ報告とか開発状況が覗けます。面白いですね。

見た目がかなり変わっていますが、個人的にはいい感じになっていると思います。

ダウンロードした中にはboot.dolのほかにreadmeがありました。Rev.5をダウンロードしたのになぜか文章にはRev.4と書いてありますが気にせずに読んでみます。

Homebrew Browser v0.3 Revision 4

Copy the folder to your SD card.
Launch via HBC.
SDカードにフォルダごとコピーしてください。
そしてHomeBrewChannelから起動してください。
You can wiiload it to test, make sure you have the /apps/hbbv030/ directory.
テストとしてwiiloadを使えます。また/apps/hbbv030/フォルダが存在することを確認してください。
HBB will download the icon files automatically in the background.
HBBはバックグランドで自動的にアイコンファイルをダウンロードします。
Overall rating and download count doesn’t work yet.
レイティング(投票)機能はまだ使えません。
Apps in this HBB are just examples and may not contain accurate information.
HBB内のアプリは単なるサンプルですので情報が正しくないかもしれません。

かなり完成度は高そうです。Youtubeでは最後にComing Soonとありましたので登場は間もなくのようです。
