How to use:
使い方:
1st, Make sure the fireware and OS of your iPlayer is the lastest version
1: iPlayerのファームウェアとOSは最新版にしてください。
2nd, There are CHT/ENG 2 emulators in the zip file. Install the one which fit your iPlayer
2: 中国語版(ch)/英語版(en)2種類のエミュレータがzipファイルの中のフォルダに入っています。どちらか一方を選んでiPlayerにインストールします。
3rd, Copy the whole NDS-GBA folder and files into /_system/
3: 選んだ言語(chまたはen)フォルダの中にあるフォルダとファイルを全て/_systemフォルダにコピーしてください。

まだまもすけ自身試していませんが、記事の写真でも分かる通りDSiでGBAのゲームを起動できます。
SLOT2が無くなったことでDSiはGBAとの互換性を切り捨てたと言われていましたが、このiPlayer GBA-DS EmulatorとiPlayerがあれば切り捨てられたはずのGBAを起動させることが出来ます。
まだバグが残っているようですので今後の進展に期待です。

Homebrew enthusiast and GBAtemp member darkchen has been busy developing a Game Boy Advance emulator for the Nintendo DS, and we’ve tried it! The result? Some extremely impressive work!
Homebrew好きなGBAtempメンバーのdarkchen氏がニンテンドーDS用のゲームボーイアドバンスエミュレータを開発中です。そして今回試してみることができました！使ってみての感想？感動モノですよ！

How did darkchen manage to emulate the GBA given the hardware limitations of the DS? The clever guy used the extra power that the DSiPlayer (slot-1 media player) provides to get the extra juice needed to emulate GBA at a decent speed. Unfortunately of course, this means that this emulator will only work on the iPlayer.
darkchen氏はDSのハードウェアの制約があるなかでどんな手を使ってGBAをエミュレートしたのでしょうか？GBAを相応のスピードでエミュレートするために必要なパワーはDS用のiPlayerを使うことでクリアしているところはなるほどと感心しきりです。ということで、当然ですがこのエミュレータはiPlayerでしか動作しません。

We’ve tried a handful of games using darkchen’s emulator and the results have been extremely impressive. The majority of games (even 3D intensive games) work extremely well with almost perfect video and sound output. There is a little bit of slow down in some games (using a frameskip setting of 2), but the results are astonishing for a first release. I didn’t even see a single graphical glitch. But, not only is the emulation side of things impressive, the emulator GUI itself is also very well done and offers a great number of useful and well implemented options such as save states, screenshots, frameskip and more. It even supports zipped ROMs, but has some issues with 256Mbit games when zipped.
現時点でdarkchen氏のエミュレータを携帯ゲーム機で試すことができますし、その結果も上々です。ほとんどのゲームは(3Dの動きが激しいゲームでも)動作しますし、映像音声ともほぼ完璧です。ゲームによっては速度が低下するものもありますが(フレームスキップを2に設定しても起こります)、ファーストリリースであることを思えば驚くべき結果です。グラフィックに問題は見受けられませんでした。しかしエミュレーションが見事なだけでなくエミュレータのGUI自体も良くできていて、ステートセーブをはじめスクリーンショット、フレームスキップといった便利な機能が満載です。zipで圧縮されたROMもサポートしていますが、256Mbitの容量のゲームを圧縮したファイルの場合には多少問題があるようです。

動画ではDSiでiPlayerを使ってGBAのゲーム(不正コピーじゃなくてバックアップですよね？これ)を起動しています。SLOT-2がなくともGBAのゲームを起動できるのは画期的です。多分不人気で在庫を抱えているであろうiPlayerが脚光を浴びるチャンスでもあります。
マジコンで起動しているということはDSiの高スペックなエンハンスドモードで動作しているわけではありませんのでDSLiteやDSでも同じように動作するでしょう。
ただし、一般的にはiPlayerがGBAの不正コピーゲームを起動するためのツールと見なされて”R4″と同類のマジコンに分類されてもおかしくありません。今は楽天でも購入できるiPlayerですが、日本での販売が難しくなる日が来るかもしれません。そうなったらこの期待のGBAエミュレータも活躍の場を(日本では、表向きは、ですけどね)失うかもしれません。
