公式ファーム5.50、期待通りで嬉しいです

As we saw yesterday, this new ofw has been finally released, with those subfolders and some fixes that were expected, to be honest.
ご存知の通り昨日、新公式ファームウェアがリリースされました。サブフォルダーが使えるようになって、ある件の修正もされて。正直に言えばいいのに。

Between those fixes it’s the recent TIFF exploit that was found and that it’s still under development, and it seems that there are also some bugs, like one that literally fu cks the standby.
今回の修正はこのように最近発見されて目下開発中のTIFF exploitのためだったりしますが、まだ今回のようなバグはあるでしょう。今回はさあこれからというタイミングでやられてしまいました。

What do you think about those “new features”? Have you got any bugs like those or can confirm the standby one?

Edit: Seems like this new update has the encryption tables changed (at least the 1g one), as it can’t be decrypted with latest psardumper. Anyway, won’t be probably a problem.
追記：今回のアップデートはどうやら暗号化テーブルを変更したようです。最新版psardumperで復号化できません。とは言うものの大した問題にはならないでしょう。

完全にこっそり対策ですね。お見それしました。まだ発覚していないだけで他にもあるかもしれません。
暗号化部分にまでて付けて来ているとは、感心する以外言葉がありません。Alek氏が問題ないと判断しているのですから5.50以降のCFWは出せないというほどのことではない事を祈ります。

今回のTIFF exploitについてのソニーの対応は異例の早さです。Hello WorldがPSP-1000で発表されたのが2009年4月12日、5.50リリースが2009年4月21日ですから9日しかありません。しかもHENですらまだリリースされていませんし。
将来同じような事があったときにはどうなってしまうんでしょうね。

I sit down to write this post with mixed feelings.
今ちょっと複雑な気持ちで座って記事書いてます。

On the one hand, I have to congratulate MaTiAz and Davee for their recent excellent work on the TIFF exploit and HEN. Their project is exciting, and I’m sure we’re all waiting with excitement for their upcoming release. It shows that the PSP homebrew scene has not been defeated by Sony’s latest efforts, and long may the spirit of competition continue. It’s also nice to see so much cooperation within the community. Great stuff.
とにかくMaTiAz氏とDavee氏の、TIFF exploitとHENでの素晴らしい功績に心からおめでとうと言わせてください。彼らのプロジェクトは素晴らしい結果を産み出しましたし、皆さんもリリースが相当待ち遠しいと思います。PSPのHomebrew界はここのところのソニーの絶大なる努力に屈することはありませんでした。このコミュニティの協力体制には目を見張るものがあります。素晴らしいです。

But on the other hand, this obsoletes the work we were doing on an eLoader for the GripShift exploit – there’s no need for it, since the TIFF exploit should work on all PSPs, with or without the game. We’ve worked hard on it, but so many busy events in our lives (parenting, moving house, pressures of work in the current economic climate) have meant that progress was slower than we’d hoped.
しかしその一方で、我々が取り組んできたGripShift exploitのeLoaderはすっかり色褪せてしまいました。TIFF exploitがPSP全モデル対応で、しかもゲームを買った買えなかったに関係なくハックできてしまうのですからもうGripShiftのeLoaderは必要なくなってしまいました。かなり頑張ったんですが、プライベートで色々と忙しすぎて(子育てや引っ越し、今の経済危機下での仕事のプレッシャーなどなど）思っていたより進みが遅かったのです。

So this will be the first and only project that we’ve announced but not followed up on. For that, we’re sorry – but at least it’s been obsoleted for the best of reasons.
今回初めて事前に取り組みを宣言して臨んだ最初で唯一のプロジェクトでしたが目標にたどり着けませんでした。それでも少なくとも一番いい理由で無駄足に終わってくれました。

今まではしらーっと「できました！」とハッキングツールをリリースして来たnoobzチームがGripshiftのexploitで開発に名乗り出た衝撃の時から3ヶ月半、本人達にとっては本当はかなり残念に思っている事でしょう。でも本当にeLoaderはお蔵入りしてしまうのでしょうか。というか、Gripshift HENはお蔵入りしてしまうのでしょうか。Grpshift(でも日本版)所有者としては気になるところです。

With the upcoming release of HEN (Homebrew Enabler) for the PSP using MatiAz’s tiff exploit there has been some heated discussions on the topic. Davee, who will be releasing the HEN in the coming days (at least that’s the planned release), has answered most of the questions people have been asking but it has been difficult o find them.
まもなくリリースされる、MatiAz氏の発見したTIFF exploitを利用したPSPのHEN(Homebrew Enabler)については方々で熱い議論がなされている最中ですね。そのHENをリリースするDavee氏は近々、少なくともリリース予定程度は明らかにすることになっていますが、彼自身が多くの方から寄せられた質問のうち、彼にしか分からないような部分について答えてくれました。

Here’s some information about the upcoming HEN that you should know
以下がまもなくリリースされるHENについての、皆さんに知っておいて欲しい内容になります。

– Currently set for a release this Tuesday (maybe Wednesday for some of you in China)
現時点ではリリース日を今週火曜日に設定しています。(中国などにお住まいの方は水曜日になります。)
– It will not allow the execution of ISO’s – at least not natively
ISO起動は出来ないでしょう – 少なくともそのままでは。
– Some PSP’s will be able to have CFW flashed while other models will be left out (due to Motherboard issues and limitations)
(基板の問題や制限により)一部のPSPを除き、CFWインストールのためのflash書き換えが可能になるでしょう。
– HEN will enable most homebrew execution but some older homebrew may require some tinkering to work on the new HEN
HENにより、ほとんどのHomebrewが実行可能となるでしょう。古いHomebrewについてはそのままでは動作しないものもあるため多少の改造は必要になるかもしれません。
– POPs will not be supported (meaning you cannot run PSX ISO’s, sorry
POPSについてはサポートしません。(PSX(PS1)のISOを起動させる事が出来ません。申し訳ないですが)
– Some motherboards will not be supported for CFW use (as well as anyone who was previously unable to use Pandora)
一部の基板を搭載したPSPではCFWの使用ができません。(パンドラバッテリーが使えないPSPと同じ基板の場合です)
– TA-088 V3 and TA-090 V2 Motherboards are not supported (for CFW)
TA-088 V3基板およびTA-090 V2基板についてはCFWでの使用はサポートされません。

For those wanting to pirate PSP games you will be out of luck. You can claim that you want to pirate because you have no money (well then why’d you buy it in the first place!) but others claim they want to backup their games. You can try to justify piracy but in the end, it’s the same thing – piracy.
違法コピーのPSPゲームを起動させたいという目的を持っている方にとっては嬉しくない結果になるでしょう。お金がないから違法コピーに手を出すのだと主張するのは勝手ですし(それならお金が入ったときに買えば良いだけでしょ！)、一方でゲームのバックアップのためなのだと言いたいなら言えば良いでしょう。コピーを正当化することはいくらでも出来ますが、結局それは同じ事なんですよ。違法コピーによる著作権の侵害です。

Exploits in the past have been made for the purpose of enabling homebrew, not enabling piracy (keep that in mind).
過去に出てきたexploitはすべて、Homebrewを起動させる目的で作られてきたのです。著作権侵害のためではないですよ。(覚えておいてくださいね)

確かにHENはHomebrew ENablerですからね。読んで字のごとくHomebrew(自作アプリ)をEnable(有効化)するためのものです。
断片的にはISO起動はサポートしないなどの情報は出てきていましたが、PS1のサポートもしないとなると市販のゲームを起動する術は持たせないという一貫した姿勢が見て取れます。

Davee氏自身はHENにそういった著作権侵害に繋がる機能は持たせないそうですが、FrozenIpaq氏の言葉の言い回しをみるとDavee氏は持たせないけれどその後は分からないよ、というニュアンスが感じ取れます。

M33の技術を投入すればPopsもISOも動いてしまうでしょう。ということは未だ沈黙を続けるDark-Alex氏率いるM33チームが鍵を握っているのでしょうか。HENリリース後の各ハッカーの動きに注目ですね。
ただ一つだけ。違法コピーに関しては正当化する理由はありませんよ。ただバックアップと同一ではないとは思いますが。
